What is this?

It came out of a 96' MK1 Ph3 Clio, appeared when I took the interior trim off the front door - also one for the otherside. After this if i shut the doors with the window open they seem to move around, something to hold the window in place? If you know what this is can you tell me how/where to put it back, maybe even take a pic of yours on if possible?

I think it fits at the botom of the door, you need to take the door card off then it fits inside, carnt remember how it fits, i think there is a strip of metal in the middle, it should just push on.

OMG I found exactly the same bit on the inside of my valver door last night! Couldn't find where it went so just left it there lol!

Hmm, no that wouldn't make any sense, this came from inside the interior door card.

It clips onto the bottom of the window, just pushes on. I don't think they do anything and are always falling off. Mine fell off, put back on, fell off again, went into bin!

There is nothign on mk1 clios that clips onot the bottem of the window, apart from teh little plastic clip that attches the glas to the mechanism.

Will be from the top of the door card, goes between teh door card and glass, hence why your window moves about

Strip at the top of the door, just under the window, not quite sure how you managed to get it off?

Lunner pointed out that it doesnt go on the glass...

it goes at the top of the door, between the door and the glass - its just a seal. Removing it will explain why your windows are rattling.

Look at Lunners first photo, at the top of the door.
