What paint on engine bays?

  Monaco Blue 172
what silver paint do you guys use on your engine bays to get it that very shiny look ???

is it engine laquer or is that just crap ??

and is it in can/spray or brush/pot

There polished mate. But if you do want to paint it then make sure it's a high temp paint.

just on a dumb one, but how u polish them ? like wirebrush it back then get the polisher out ? :)

lol or is it a prefessional kinda job :) i just wanted it to look a little bit cleaner in there and now so old....

ive seen some people paint it black that looks ok, but i can only find silver and so on in spray can, would of thought a pot with a brush would of been a bit easier

pro job really mate. But to be honest there is no reason why you can't get chrome effect paint and give it a spray. Seen an m3 in full chrome and it looked mint. you don't really need high temp paint. I used hamerite on mine and it's been fine :D

I have always used hammerite on engine blocks, its normally fine, certainly isnt affected by the heat but depending on the car it doesnt always stand up to well to dirt in the incoming air.

Looking good in your engine bay there Hutchie
