what size spacers . . . .

for my 1.2 with 172 wheels on? gonna go the whole hog and get hubcentric ones, but wasnt sure on what size to get? they come with longer wheel bolts, so that is no prob, just dont want it so wide it looks silly or causes problems!!

any thoughts welcome

longer locking wheel nuts will be needed too i guess?

jamie do you mean to let the 172 wheels clear or to bring them out in the arches? you dont have 172 arches do you?

i dont have mate no, i just want it a little wider, handling is where i am spending cash atm, so susp, spacers and KTR big brake conversion

20mm is mahussive, thats 40mm wider axle! im running 7mm spacers on the fronts with the superleggeras now to bring them out right to the edge of the arches, and its a real noticable difference

i run 5's on mine (only at the front) but i have coilovers so dunno if that makes a difference cos of the spring/seat diameter

i had to use spacers with my old dynamique 15's on the coilovers, the tyres were resting on the shocks on the fronts.... 7mm's sorted it, then when i went back to 16's they looked alot better as they filled the arches right out

same prob i had.. 5mm is ok but not great if you want to play about wi camber settings as your limited to about -1deg max! or u get scrubbage.

im on -2.5deg camber me thinks, im sure thats what edde set it too, it just fits without scrubbage with 7mm spacers on the dynamique 15's

ah right cool, i knew you'd mentioned 2.5 somewhere it must have been about the driveshafts!

it used to nock a bit on full lock, like jump on the driveshafts but since the spacers went on its been a-okey!

ah ok cool thanks guys, btw can you buy ones that screw into the hub, and the bolts for the wheels screw into the spacers? and would this be a better or worse idea than just longer bolts?

if u get 5-10mm ones you will get longer bolts, if you go to 20-25 you will get extra bolts and use your existing ones to bolt into the spacer.
