Mine doesn't have one of those pipes?! Noticed that bracket with a hole in and wondered what it was for...

Read the replies, it isnt a cable. Its a vacuum pipe (?) which activates the solenoid on the acoustic valve. Perfectly normal.

Im guessing mine doesn't have an acoustic valve if this pipe isn't there!

search acoustic valve on here, you will be enlightened! it reduces noise in the air intake to comply with swiss regs, complete waste of metal/plastic a lot of people pull them out me included!

could have been re-routed due to a clutch change or something. and then the mechanic put everything back under the battery but forgot that and could be arsed to take it all back out again. As said, if it works then leave it.

  Ph1
Its probably been re-routed to there as the mechanic didnt want to bend his back or for quickness (BEING SERIOUS)

Its nothing to worry about but im guessing if it really bugged you, you could unplug it and relocate it on to the appropriate clips yourself?

  Lots of Alfas
As above its nothing to worry about and its nothing that needs to be fixed under warranty. You can easily unplug it and re - route it yourself but its not going to cause any damage how it is.
