What to do when downloading something in several parts

Okay this has been bugging me slightly so I must ask..

I wanted to download something the other day and it was broken down into 5 parts. Part1.iso, Part2.iso, etc.

I couldn't work out how you would deal with these once downloaded. Do you mount them together or something and then you can run the file?

That's a bizarre naming convention, normally split files are named:

Fred.iso.001
Fred.iso.002
Fred.iso.003

etc.

Are you sure that the file is split and that it's not just multiple ISO files?

You can use the "split and concat" (google it) to put files back together, but I'm not sure if it'll handle files named like you have, you may have to rename them to my example above to get it to concatenate the files back together.

Sorry I didn't describe it thoroughly. The files are in the format you said, like so:

http://www.fileserve.com/file/6wtRV88/***.iso.007

Obviously I have to download each split separately. It's just it's for software so I'm unsure how I then set up the software from 7 split files.

They're probably just rar files. Piece of piss on a PC but I remember Dan had loads of problems trying to join them on his Mac.
