what to do :/

  clio 1.2 16v
hi i have recently bought a 2002 clio 1.2 16v with a lpg conversion :) have found it runs so much better on the lpg than when u switch it to petrol!!!
and i can do 200 miles to £20 ;) all i need to do now is get mods :)
my ideas are
old bmw alloys but spray them black been offered them for a good price but only 13" so not too sure :/
lowing is a defo but alot of places sell them as 60mm front and 40 back would this not look stupid? if not 35mm but i think u need to go big or go home?
k&n maybe but is it really worth the extra 7 bhp?
any other idea or suggestions to what im thinking???

Our CLK320 will do 200 miles to £20 (around 31-32mpg) which is rather low for a 1.2. The reason why you might find your getting better performance from LPG is because your running a wrong set of injectors, hence the high fuel consumption.

They accidentally put injectors for a V8 conversion on ours and it went down to 16mpg!! The injectors were 3 times the size compared to the new ones!

Thought I might mention this even though your asking about advice for mods :p

still cheaper on lpg bearing in mind petrol is about 1.35 ish a and lpg is 0.67 so the saving is still alot cheaper and also it has a higher octain than petrol only problem is u have to get valve care once in a while also u still the the petrol to warm the engine up to about 35 degrees and the injectors are specially designed for each car so the size difference would be the same if not a bit bigger
also got no pics atm but will put some up soon

Never got valve care and not had any problems. Only problems we have experienced is you get through a lot of LPG fuel filters and spark plugs. Recently invested in the new NGK LPG spark plugs, for the merc there is 12 plugs at £20 each! Worth investing in if you plan on keeping the car and you only have 4 plugs to buy. IMHO you might just want to get it looked at because you should be getting 50% better fuel consumption which is a large extra saving.

well the valve care is more important on jap cars but its always best to get some every 6 months and just put it the petrol tank to save them burning out and yer u are ment to service the system often and change the filter and spark plug and most importantly u need to leak test the hole system. also due to being a lpg fitter and working in a garage that does it i can get out of paying the labour rates of doing it and just get the parts and ur right the ngk spark plugs are the best but any spark plugs will do as long as it sparks then the jobs a gooden and the 200 miles is to a 30 ltr tank due to only wanted a small one. what kit do u have on the merc then?

A mix of all different brands. Don't know each individual brand for the parts as I am not a fitter.

it should be one main system if u look at the swich on in the interior it should have the make of they hole system

If you don't have the money, don't mess with it, seriously! You are just putting yourself out there for :lolup:

Otherwise lower it using something decent like Eibach Springs and get 16" 172 alloys. Should get the lot for £200

As said - get your LPG looked at by a specialist LPG garage with the right gear for your brand of kit. my 172 engined scenic costs roughly the same to run as your smaller engined, lighter car.
