wheres the best to get all this from ?
depends how thorough you want to be and how good you want the finish, you can get a lot of stuff in halfords such as the clay and polish with some other decent products, if you want high end stuff then the best place to get it is online a detailing products website.
if you give us a price range and tell us how thourough you want to be then people can give you a clearer answer on good products to use.

as for painting the callipers:
im assuming you know how to take the wheel off and stand the car safely.
clean the whole arch area off with a degreaser and a brush
use a wire brush on the calliper which you dont need to remove
give it a good clean with the brush as the cleaner you get the calliper the better the finish will be
clean with a degreaer again and dry it off
then use hammerite paint (smooth or hammered) with a half inch brush or smaller, you can tape up the disk if you want just try not to get any paint on it.
two coats atleast and leave to dry for at least 5-6 hours then you can replace the wheel

autoglym stuff from halfords
shampoo
tar and flies: autoglym intensive tar remover 350ml is plenty
clay: bilt hamber clay from ebay or a detailing website
polish: autoglym super resin polish 350ml is plenty
should get a sealant aswell like extra gloss protection then top it off with a wax

All auto glym and meg stuff is normally inbetween £6-£8 except clay //I got my megs clay bar and detailer for £12 at a show..but think its about £24 from halfrauds..but you do get to bars of clay instead of one.
