What Tyres?

Can anyone advise what are the best tyres for the Clio sport on the std 16" rims. need more grip on acceleration!

I find the Uniroyal Rainsport so much better than the Kumho Ecsta's I've got on the front at the moment, especially in all the rain we've been having. Wet weather death traps.

i've had 17's put on my 182 but am finding the car feels strange at anything over 70, i had the wheels rebalanced and it seemed ok at first but its almost as if the steering is too light, could this be because i have vredestein tyres on or is it just the bigger alloys ?

Yeah it's the wheels, sounds like you got the wrong offset.

BTW. If money isn't an object for this (which in fairness it never should be when dealing with tyres or brakes) then Michelins can't be beaten. Even if others perform "as well" as them, they'll never let go under the forces a Clio can give (not much).

does that mean the alloys are wrong for the car or is it a problem that can be sorted ? already had problems with the tyre place putting the wrong alloys on my boyfriends car.
