whats better pipercross or k&n induction kit

  vicky
i'm due to have an induction kit fitted but am stuck between which brand to choose. i need to know which will work better on my 1.2 clio extreme 16v

  Monaco RS Clio 172
on a 1.2 it really won't make much difference either way :)

my guess would be piperx slightly more noise?... not positive tho

yeah im just doing it for the sound really and not the perfomance as i accept i wont get much out of a 1.2

  Monaco RS Clio 172
to be fair

even a 172 sees zero power gains with an induction kit and the most people have shown have been 1-2bhp... that's on a 2l!

so really isn't worth worrying about air filters except for if you like the sound :)

my simota sounds really good, not massively loud so not too chav tbh.. but, I doubt I'm seeing power gains. I'd actually expect losses as I haven't put a CAF to the front fog light or anything yet.. just running into behind the headlight

i fitted a K&N on my old 1.2 dynamique and its probably the easiest one i've ever done. You get a little carbon fibre style plate to bolt on

i'd say a 2

K&N definately have a better build quality than pipercross.
I had both fitted to my car in the past year and for looks and performance the Pipercross Venom is great, but the K&N 57i is better for a good sound.
