What's it worth - 350D for a novice...

I've been considering a DSLR for some time now and have found the following local:

CANON EOS 350D for sale comes with 35-135 ultrasonic cannon lens with hoya pro1 filter ,2x1GB cards, 2xbattery plus charger original box plus leather cannon bag. very good condition.

Spoke to the guy and he said it's been an "Emergency spare" for a wedding photographer so hopefully it'll be as new...

It's up for £230, not looked at used prices in a while and they do seem to have dropped...

After reading up I think I'm best saving a bit more and getting something a bit more modern!

I've just won this too which seems a bargain, I use the Ixus 105 at work and couldn't resist bidding at such a low price for the 120
