What's it worth??

Evening kids,

My pops is about to chop his Octy vRS in for the new shape one. I am bored with the Cup, don't get me wrong it's an absolute hoot on the right road on the right day (and any roundabout!) but unfortunately the roads on most days are the M4 & 5 and as a result I'm gonna buy my Dad's old octy of him.

We offered the Cup up for part-ex and the dealer said £5000.

What do you think my Cup would go for privately?

It's 2003/53, with 51,000miles, FRSH, good condition, six months warranty, totally standard, never been on track, 2 new PE2's up front, 11 months tax.

£6000 may be?

TBH I will probably end up going for the part-ex price as I simply can't be ar5ed to go about selling my car, just interesting to know if it's worth me getting of my fat a55!!

£5.5~5.7k I'd say.
Market isn't to good at the moemtn ahve a look the prices on autotrader and ring to see what sort of response people have got.

  X-172 Cup
no way 5k on the trade in mate  ,
OK the miles are a little high for the year but they will retail that car (and sell it) for £6500-£7k...

IMHO they are taking the f**king p*ss - as is always the case on a trade in.

Edde's right though the market has been hit hard on the Cup but if yours has FRSH is standard and has not been thrashed then you should be asking £6375 ONO

Just spend a couple of hours cleaning/photographing & list it on E-Bay with a link on here, you could be saving yourself a grand m8...
