whats my next engine mod

i got a 1.2 16v and would be interested to know what other owners have done to their tiny lumps? i currently have a viper and k-tec system on way.

I have a 1.2 mk1 have a backbox (already have a straight through centre section as OE), K&N, getting a de-cat made up soon, and will prolly end up chipping it.

Strip it out

NOS a 25 hp setup should b fine if your gently if your worried run a progressive setup.

Not worth doing loads IMO sure you could turbo it etc but for the cost might as well drop a GTT in there for £1000 (plus whatever you want to spend on a doner car so between £500 and £50,000)

whos doing GTT transplants for 1k? i wanna do that to my 1.2 by the end of the year
Andy at GDI does it also the other Renault tunning companies should do it for about that much. However the thing is when people get a GTT dropped into there car they have the engine rebuilt for more power. So if you start will a cheap gtt doner car then you can spend thousands extra to get the engine to almost new spec.

I think the best option for engine transplants on Clios is the GTT. The only other powerful engine availiable is the 172 and since you can just go and buy a 172 why not get something unique.

Ive got a MK1 1.2 8v.

Ive got K&N Induction Kit, full s/s exhaust with centre box removed, Ecotek Valve.

Gonna get De-cat shortly.

Ive also spoke to Torsion Tuning about a GTT Transplant, i think it was about £1200... but you have to find a donour car. I spoke to them about 1.8 16v transplant aswel, £1350, all in, drive in drive out, no need to find a donour because verythings on the shelf.

Craig.
