Whats the deal with Dastec chips

Right, i know of someone who has a Dastec Unichip for a Valver forsale. He said i could have it for £100. Is this a good price and whats involved in getting it fitted and finaly, is it actually worth it.........?

ive just asked a similar question matey! Im lookin to get mine chipped but i havent got a clue about what benefits it will give!

Probably 100-200 quid less than retail but main thing with these chips is to get set up on a RR as set up specifically to the car its on. Dont just bolt it on and use it. Would work out cheaper and a good buy so long as someone can tune it to your car for you.

Can anyone tune it up or does it have to be someone Dastec registered or summit?

Yeah has to be a dastec place. Chip is only as good as the place tuning it. If not done properly could knacker your engine or not get the most out of it.

Set up probably 1 - 2 hours on RR.
