whats the dealwith friends and family

Have been talking to someone who might be able to get me this deal......whats the pros and cons,,,,,,,if i do it should i sell my car privately or trade in with the new one or would they fleece me

Is there a limit on how long i can keep the car before selling and how have people been treated from renault who have had this ...good/bad

I got my 182 on F & F with 30 % off.

The trade in you get offered shouldnt be any worse than if you were paying full price for the new car, I was offered a decent amount for my Import 172. The dealer doesnt make a great deal on a F & F as far as I know, just something like a £200 handling fee.

As far as keeping the car goes I think you can sell it on, but cant buy another one on the scheme within a certain time frame, but I dont know for certain as it was never mentioned to me.

The sales guy at Renault Birmingham couldnt have been more helpful when I went and ordered and collected my car.

Ive got no complaints at all about it, but then with discount like that Im not going to have.

The discounts did vary from franchise to main dealers also as well as the number of cars employees were allowed to take per year. Im not sure if thats still the case.

I think your supposed to keep it for 9 months minimum.

Main Dealerships - 6 cars per year for Friends & Family usually 26% dependent on any promotions and models (e.g. V6 excluded)

Franchise - Family ONLY

Must keep car for 6 months or Renault can ask for the difference in list and discounted price.

Friend/Family nominates person to buy the car. It goes through RUK I think. Basically it ends in a certificate "oking" the deal.

The salesman give me have F&F, even thou I dont know him. I ended up with 18% discount.

yeah my mate got F+F off his sales man (who he didnt know)and got a 30% odd discount on a megane, lucky git!
