Whats the lowest you can go on 15s before the car becomes un-useable day to day..

MK2 PH2, whats the lowest you can go on 15s without getting stuck on speed bumps and bottoming out every 5 minutes?

Cheers,

Alex

i have 15's dropped 60mm but also run 45 profile tyre's rather then 50 but i also have skirts and splitter its not bad driving around and over speed bumps just an ar*e on jacking it up and not being able to drive it straight onto ramps

-65 is a good height.. -70 tops.. (then your into getting grounded on subframe category)

I assume thats your skirts and splitter though preventing it getting on ramps?

I'm on 16's now and it's soo much easier on life!

In like my 15s, its all about the handling when you only have 75HP to play with.

yup its skirts n splitter stopping the usual jobs a car does ive never been worries about the subframe or anything catching just do it if its to much raise it shimple

I had mine down 60 at the front and about 40 at the front on coilovers (which if you were to listen to people on here means 80mm lowering since it was lower than 60mm springs).

I never had any trouble with speed bumps etc but having coilovers with harder springs etc makes a huge difference hecne you could run lower than equivalent drop springs.

I recon I could have gone about 15mm more all round but beyond that it woulc catch now and again ever so slightly nothing serious though,.

agreed 15's are sweet but i can get off the line quicker on my 16's!

I am not sure this is true.

15s are lighter and you need a fair bit of give in the side wall to get the best start and to reduce wheel spin.

Unless you have different width tyres fitted?

so if i get the 60mm apex suspension kit on my clio mk2 i wont get any rubbing atall im using standard 15s.
