Im trying to work out my power-weight ratio, but dont know how much my car weighs when standard!

Mine weighs 1054Kg an is completely standard no fuel. The book that came with it says the kerb weight is 1035...

ive weighed my 182 trophy, with half a tank of fuel, it was 1050kg, the scales wont be more than 10kg out

So a full tank of fuel and you're looking at nearer to the book wieght then.

Thats so true, but it doesnt help when Renault cant make their mind up on how much they weigh

those figures are about right although i thought a 172cup was 1020kg being 79kg lighter than a 172MKII at 1110kg, the 182 20kg lighter (no spare wheel or kit) at 1090 (which then ties in with your KG figure and the 182cup was 1075/80kg so that ties in perfectly.
so id say 172cup 1020 , MKII172 1110kg, 182 1090, 182cup 1075, MKI (depending on bonnet) 1060 kg although newer one was a bit heavier but only marginally.

also a 225cup is indeed 1345kg as you mentioned so out of interest what is a 225cup with recaros ?? how much to two side airbags + detonation kit etc.. and the recaros weigh against the full fat full leather beasty`s ? id wager at Least 15kg which was the weight diffo between a 182trophy and a 182, however the seats in the meganesport are deffo bigger and fatter so we could be talking more

so 225cup + recaros is 1345kg - 20kg = 1325kg

whats the power to weight of 1325kg meg then ?

ooops reading above the 182trophy was 1050 +/- 10kg so that means the only change between this and a 182 would be 30kg saving ?? seems a lot anyways

1320kg then power to weight please due to extra weight of stock megane chairs thats 25kg lighter and probably about right

anyone know the weight of the recaro seats ?

I've still got the 172 Cup brochure and it's 1021 kg, 80,000g (they say) less than the MkII Clio 172. The 172 Mk1 figure is 1035 kg.

If you took all the spare parts, nuts and bolts out, Dan, your car would probably weigh 950 kg!!!

The calculation for power to weight ratio is:
Power / weight x 1000
So my valver if where standard would be:
137BHP (Power) / 980KG (Weight) x 1000 (1Ton) = 139.79 BHP per Ton
