What's this cable for?

Bro was checking the oil and noticed this cable, anyone know what it should be connected to? It's a 1998 1.4 8v Clio.

Had a look around and can't see where it would have been plugged in :S

Somewhere near the PAS pump, follow the pipes around!

have a look at the searing rack and the lines attached to it or else find the pas reservoir and follow the lines to the pump which comes of the aux belt.
