What's this sensor?

  RenaultSport clio 172 mk2
Been having this problem for a while now, oil and stop lights on, replaced pads and topped up all fluids, the dashboard oil level gauge is working, but while checking all engine sensors this one had oil inside it, can anyone identify it for me please? I think it might be the oil pressure sensor, and if it is, what's the price of a new one as the main stealers here in ireland don't seem to know much about the 172 at all. any insight would be most welcome. power steering pressure switch, it wonr bring on any warning lights at all.
Try an oil filter change, use a genuine renault filter, also check the wiring and condition of the oil pressure sensor.
You may have oil pressure problems, try the above 1st.

Thanks Mike, of the other two sensors on the front of the engine block, which one is the pressure sensor? There's one low down which I assume is the level sensor, and the other is a little higher up and to the left of the lower one and is green. Is the green one the pressure sensor?

The oil pressure switch screws in the block by the oil filter, the level sender is the one that screws down into the sump. And the knock sensor will be the top one underneath the lower inlet.

Picked up a new oil pressure switch and fitted it over the weekend, no more warning lights!!!!! Thanks again for all your help guys, by the way, does 57euro (about £40) from the main stealers sound a bit steep to anyone besides me?
