whats wrong when your clio makes this sound?

bin happening for about 2 months now....the garage wanna go into cambelt territory to source the problem but the noise seems to be coming from where im aiming the cam for most of the time.
Any ideas what it could be?

Get a length of hose, put one side to your ear then move the other around the engine bay it will help you pinpoint where the noise is comeing from

It sounds like bearings in a pulley! get it sorted asap before it falls apart, take aux belt off first and start it up, if it still does it take the cambelt covers off and see whats going on!

thats what the nasty mechanic wants to do to my car
i know its gonna be expencive to
