Whats you RPM at 70mph in 5th

Just womdering.
My 1.2 16v runs at 3500 exactly at 70, when in highest gear.

How does that compare to evryone elses 1.2 16v clio. yr 2001-2005.

Also how does that compare to the rest of the engines 1.4, 1.6, 2.0 and 3.0, for 2001 to 2005 models, at 70 mph in top gear (i guess 5th for all except vees which will be 6th)

172 cup 2003 sits at just over 3200rpm at 70...............then accelerates like a t!^t

yeah bout 3300 ish then accelerates pretty quick

i kinda like it:

2000rpm = 40mph
3000rpm = 60mph
4000rpm = 80mph
5000rpm = 100mph

all in 5th gear.
works absolutely precise!

3500, same on all 1.2 16v's its down to the gearbox just incase you didnt know since you asked what everyone else's is at lol

Low with respect to what? I wouldn't say its that low geared.

i wouldnt call it low ratio, its about average for its type of car really. could be doing with a lower ratio 4th and 5th but suppose its to save fuel etc its not a performance car lol

true true. just coming from a 205xs with a low ratio gearbox to a newer car just wondered if they are any lower than the rest of the 1.2's in its class but obveously not. lol

you'll be in neutral at 0000 revs in a lay by if you keep ragging the tits off it like that!
