What's your top end ?

Raced my mates chipped golf tdi today, n I topped out at 140, ( I was trying to catch him after head start) I got k and n air filter n de cat fitted, not much but I expected more. Has anyone had more with the same basic mods?

Doubt you will see anymore speed as I reckon is all to do with gearing and limiters and s**t. Tdi nail you, did it?

Also - probably nearer 130 as the speedo ain't accurate.

Prepare to be hung out for everything to do with racing, silly speeds, public highways and admitting to it!

Ive hit the limiter in 5th cant remember what speed the speedo was reading but im quite sure it was reading closer to 145 but without gps its anyones guess as to how fast the car is traveling.

It's a Clio cup with coilies n updated brakes for a reason, the corners are my playground, if I still wanted to go fast in a straight line I'd have kept my gt turbo. I just wanted to know if my clios crap top end wise.

top end is down to the gearing surely? as long as you can hit the limiter in 5th im sure its as fast as any other 182

A standard 182 doesn't have the power to hit the limiter in top on a level road it unless it's the 6750 cold limit.

Why would you want to max out a Clio anyway?
