wheel refurb near wigan (NW area)

as above, anyone know when I can get a refurb done on jus one of my wheels? im based in wigan but need a drive in drive out job due to not having a spare to put on. Also any idea on cost? im sure I can put a compensation claim in against the kerb that jumped out on me :S

You could try these . Heard a few people recommend them . Not sure about the drive in drive out bit though as its not exactly a 2 min process to refurb them .

I had a bad time with Proclean - took a week to do the wheels - and not a very good job - and then gave me the wheels back with almost knackered tyres fitted when they went in with Brand new Yokos on!!!

Try WickedWheels - mobile refurbers - £60 per wheel but an excellent job and come out to you!

There is www.wheelrepair.co.uk based in preston which can do a 1day repair (drop your car off and leave it for the day) but they said it would be about £100 to repair two of mine as they would have to order the paint specially. Thats just for touching up too I think. To get a wheel fully refurbed is something stupid like £200!

thats expensive

most places will fully refurb for 50 quid a wheel

as munchkin said, i remember him haivn probs with proclean.

i got mine done for 25 - 30 a wheel, knackered old wrecked turbines sprayed anthracite.
the werent the best finish at all but suppose depends wat u want, they get it done quick and cheap but u get what u pay for.

theyre ok if u want a quick fix.

i also got em to straighten my buckled oz rim after i hit something hard in road.

did it within the hour for £20. sorted.

Just got mine done at a place in Blackburn, was done within a day £40 per wheel. The wheels look like brand new. I'll post a pic up tonight if I get chance.

You may need to journey south, Lap-Tab did mine in the same day, arrived at 09:30, they took the wheels of my car, tyres off, full refurb, tyres back on, balanced them, put them back on the car. On my way home by 4pm. Excellent job too. £280 all in.
