painted, i think they would look good polished i think but would cost too much especially after the mess i made of one of them yesterday lol

Normally about £50 per wheel for powdercoating not sure on polishing though. Why not have a go at refurbing the wheels yourself? its easy but time consuming.

I can't talk I caught one of mine on an extended kerb in roadworks (believe it or not, the same extended kerb twice, almost 6 months apart in an area I don't live in)... keep meaning to get it done, think was about £35 when I looked.
