Wheel sounds like a cog turning

Okay. So I've felt like something was wrong for a week or 2 and thought my wheel bearing had gone. Turns out that's okay. Thought my arb bushes were gone. Also fine. Now I've just jacked the car up outside to find that when spinning the wheel it sounds like a cog. Not very loud at all but definatley there. Also the inside of the tyre is bald, completely.

Going to whack my spare on tonight but what's the ticking/cog noise?

Any help appreciates.

dunno bout the wheel noise but with the tyre bein bald have you had the wheels balanced and the tracking done on the car also check the wish bones
