When will my engine free up

Got a new 1.2 16v and ive just done 1500 miles in it, all ran in properly up to 700 miles. After how many miles should i be getting full performance from it? (if you can call it that)

I would have thought you get full performance from the first time you turn the key, but using the full performance would damage the engine?

I would say less than 20k i think after 10k it should be bedded in nicely.

As Tom says Renaults tend to get better with more miles on the clock.

the engine needs time to bed in properly but i didnt know it would take that long! Renault said something like 2500 miles

Ive just hit the 10k mark, and my cars fast enough for me. Im not sure if its coz i recently got my zorst and im screwing the t!ts off it to make it loud?

think i was told not to expect full performance untill around 2000 miles. there was a reason but ill be fecked if i can remember!!
