motorbike places can be funny about it, too.

try a company that specialises in parts for classic cars (pre 1940 stuff) as they did my small front plate for me. I found them at a classic car show. I look at home and see if i still have their number.

Small as in motorbike small, Ive had a plate cut down around standard size lettering and it looks nice and is legal.

GT Graffix (on line) did one for my Jap import, they do whatever you want, any size backing and letters, still need to give proof of ownership of the plate (just fax them the reg doc).

Also fancyplates (com/uk?) based in Eire.

I just trimmed the ends of mine 4 my priv8 pl8,looks minted,catches the eye and is totally legal,and best of all its free
