Where can i buy spacers?

  Tweaked Leon Cupra R
i picked up a set of 5mm ones with longer bolts for 20 or 30 bucks. i forget where from though.

hubcentric don't require longer bolts and are more "safe"... but they are more expensive then the ordinary.

Hubcentric ones will have a 60.1mm hole in the middle to fit snugly around a clio axle. Anything over 10mm and these should be used imo

Universal ones have a bigger mounting hole and as such fit a variety of cars. Up to 5-8mm is apparently ok, with little risk of wheel "wobble"

Whether you need longer bolts or not depends on the size i'd guess, up to 5mm you might be ok, anything more and you'd definately need longer ones.

Ok i'll have a look there. Apparently for my 172 wheels they are offset 40 and my current steelies are something around 36.....i assume i get 5mm spacers. Are they safe then? i'm slightly concerned about this safety talk :S

Think halfords sell universal spacers, not sure about the bolts though. Read somewhere that Demon-Tweeks can make you some custom length bolts although I'm not sure if this is true or not.

You'll probably only need them on the back if anywhere to be honest.

Ph2 172 wheels or ph1?

Ph2 i believe. so basically i should be able to get away with standard bolts and 5mm spacers?

Erm ph2 172 wheels look like they are far too far inside the arches for some reason... Might want more than 5mm which could be expensive.

I'll try and find some pics lol

Thanks for the link. They do look narrow at the front, but as you say the RS wings could be the culprit. I'll try some 5mm spacers
