Are you using XP?

If so, Press windows then U U in quick succession and that will bring up the spec page.
that brings up windows utilitys like narrator for me

Right click on 'my computer' and click on properties - it will tell you how much RAM you have there.

if you want to find out what RAM you can upgrade to I'm not too hot on what software will tell you which motherboard you have so I would suggest opening up the case and looking for a make model number and googling (or posting here so some kind soul can tell you! :))

Upgrading the disk will only give you more disk space, unless you go for a higher RPM disk model, or your original disk is faulty....
As mentioned, click "start", and right click on "my computer" and choose "properties".... That will give you your memory size and CPU speed....
