From memory it just limits the rpm to 3k when stationary.

I had it on my phase 1, it imposes a rev limiter just above 4k when your at a standstill so you just floor the accelerator and pop the clutch, the rev limit is fixed up till about 15-20mph (i think) so you don't wheelspin to much.
Although it may be a gimmick it provides great repeatable launches 99% of the time it came out as 6.24 seconds to 60 on my gtech (it was cammed also)

You could just get a omex limiter, second hand don't cost too much then wire it in to the coil wiring

I plan on fitting one of these, they don't half create some loud bangs on the limiter!

A couple lads round here have them.. They make loud bangs!

I do agree though that just holding 4k with the pedal is a better idea!

I had launch map on the 182. just above 4k as said, limit goes pretty much as soon as you're moving. Used it once but left some lovely number 11s.
