porb erery think. thinking crank pully has sliped and things have droped and going to be striping the eninge, so may need a book or some think,

Only messing, don't think you can get any sort of manual for the 172/182/v6 or even the 1.9d off the shelf.

no haynes for the 172 only non RS inc dci it covers most of the 2.0 though as most of the car is the same or similar but since your problem is engine related then it wont cover it
