Where does this come from?

Hi All,

I have recently had the engine out of my 182 and when putting her back together we cant seem to find where the below bracket has come from or what its for. Does anyone have any ideas?

it is located between the oil dip stick tube and the gear box, can just see it in this pic, small black bracket
