where is the alarm sounder on a valver???

the standard alarm in my hybrid works i think because the hazards flash if you set of the sensors but it makes no noise! any ideas?

Under the scuttle if its like the Mk2s?? Complete guess there tbh.

I think (from memory) its under the flap by the bulk head under the bonnet on the passenger side.
I think the drivers side has the jack & the passenger side has the alarm siren & washer bottle.
I may be wrong though, as it ages since I had one mate.

It maybe that the alarm isn't actually turned on, you may only have the immobiliser on mate.

- Matbrown & a few of the other mk1 boys will know for def (it's a while since I had mine mate, so my memorys gone a bit rusty)

there is a key/lock under the passenger side footwell., next to fuse box. this turns the alarm on and off. there should be a samall key on the car keys for this.
