Where to begin?

Got a clio 1.6 16V and have finally decided to start the modding....however i have no clue as to where i should start.

I am only interested in performance, nothing more....

any advice?

apart from the "buy a 172" comments

i would suggest cams (we have several profiles available) as being the only way to get a decent gain out of it

whats your budget?

how much do you want to spend

standard mods are
exhaust
airfilter
manifold
re-map

then you can move onto to things like
inlet manifold match (bottom half)
Cams
head work

IMO suspension would be the first stop as it will enable you to take corners faster etc
then a disk/pad upgrade to stop faster

172 comments....well the thought crossed my mind but to be honest after having the car a while u get kinda attached....

i really havent budgeted any particular ammount....i can set away like £500per month i would rather not go overboard...but thats my perogative...

i was think thinking airfilt and exhaust to start - but am unsure who the best peeps are....
as for the re-map surely would want that done nearing the end so as to only do it once

tbh buy a 172 .:star:

complete exhaust and decat , caf viper . will make it sound nice .
ehhaust probably over 1000£ if complete including manifolds .

head work - reprofile the head so more air gets in etc benr is the one to speak to, that combined with an inlet match and some of freds cams and you'll be rocking, speak to fred as he can put some very nice packages together for you
