Where's the infrared received for the key in a ph1?

Unlocking my ph1 has become a real pain in the ass, if I unlock it with the key the alarm goes off when I open the door, the key works as the led flash's, where's the receiver?

Typically in the PH1's it's where the light is in the roof, however on the sports I believe it's near the hazzard switch. You tried re syncing the fob ?

How do I re sync it? I've seen a few different ways?

The one I've read - you hold the central locking lock in the car for a few seconds, the immobiliser light flashes then you press the lock on the key.

It works when i point it towards the hazard switch, i presume a weak battery in the fob
