From what I've read they would be the best choice for a mildly tuned Road based car

If you go down the cams route... 428's are the ones to go for!

PM Icarus, he can get good prices from CatCams

Why not wait for the super 2000 inlet?

Ive looked at cams, and im trying to convince myself its alot of money for only 20bhp. Thoughts?

Sound advice imo.

Save the money towards a supercharger kit or even ktec turbo.

Too much effort and far better options than cams and TB's these days imo

As has been said wait for the super 2000 inlet before making a descision, as its likely cams will only offer 10bhp on top of the inlet.

If you are thinking about the super 2000 inlet its also money down the drain on matched inlets IMO

428's are the best bet as they offer good gains and retain standard engine management, whereas 421's (iirc) require standalone aftermarket management at a cost fo around £1000

Its getting increasingly likely that i will return my car to standard so i'm open to offers on my schricks lol ;)

i thought that was only on fbw? as its the idle that needs adjusting, on a cable throttle setup you can adjust that manually

so i've been told anyway

i am looking at other forms of modding the engine, either way cams are probably going in......its not a case of yes or no...its pretty much yes, if they give me 5bhp, thats fine....if they give 10bhp+ even better

428's it is.......

From what I was told they are just madder.

Cant say from a technical point of veiw. Andy/Dany will know more.

I only know they would be suitable coz I asked about them for mine. They wont need any piston mods iirc

i'm pretty much in the same predicament dude, but already spent money on inlets/cat.

settling for brakes, coilovers, and track wheels.

considered that? cheapy cheapy?
