Hi, in the new year I'm lookiing at getting a second car. I own a 16v clio at the moment

but have a little suzuki 4x4 as a second car which I go off-roading in

and have had for over a year now so have 1yrs no claims on that policy. So was thinking about selling the suzuki and having a cheap fun car to mess about in. I dont know whether to get another clio 16v for £1500 ish and strip it right out and then put a couple buckets in and have as a go-kart, or a 200sx s13 for £1500 ish to get drifting. I would buy all parts off ebay or second hand as Im not made of money!! Whats your thoughts?? Thanks, Sam

I'd have the 200sx, you already have a clio so I would go for some rear wheel drifting action.

A little off topic but how is the Suzuki off road, any good? I toyed with buying one for the same reason, some cheap mud plugging at the weekends.

Yeh my thoughts were the same, already got a valver so get the 200. Yeh those suzuki's are amazing, I was impressed how good they are. Just get some off-road tyres and your off. Considering it only cost £200 off my grandad, I've had loadsa fun! Super reliable too, hasn't broken down once and I've really tested it! Filled it up with water once and still ran all the time whilst being towed out!! Sam

Yes, i'd go for the 200SX as well, take a look at www.sxoc.com , we (fccuk) regularly organise track events with them. There will be about 15 or so SXs and Fiat Coupes at Cadwell next month.

S13's fall apart too easily save another £500-£1000 and get an s14 it's a much better car and will cost you less in the long run (it has a stronger and more reliable engine) but i'd defiently go for a rwd jap!

be warned, for £1500, you are likely to buy a money pit of a 200, same really with the valver

try investing a little more, and you'll find a better car

200's are sheds.

I see them all day every day, next door specialises in them.........honestly wouldnt bother.

I bought a 200sx then the turbo blew up and cost me 1500 quid, complete money pit,
wouldnt have another if someone paid me. Stay away imo

you were ripprd off then. if you are handy with a spanner get one mate. if not i wouldnt bother personally.

Whether i was handy with a spanner or not i wouldt have wanted to fit a turbo to that car myself, theturbo itself was genuine nissan cos i didnt want to risk uprating anything in case something fell off or it blew up again, p/x it for a 172 which was a good move. Williams/172/182 etc would nail a standard 200sx all day.
