Depends completely on factory location. A component system is NOT always the best choice. Fitting the speaker correctly and using sound deadening is far more important!

right ok, so co-axials i will go with as there cheaper as-well, also has anyone chanegd the speakers in a ford transit connect, if so is there any straight replacement speakers save doing soldering?

Yes i would personally go for coax's. Cant remember whats in them tbh.
Dont think youll get direct replacement, no. Ive done one but cant for the life of me remember whats in there.
Probably need to take door panel off and have a look but will need a fitting panel either bought or made up out of MDF to take new speaker due to depth. Afraid i cant help u dude cos its ages since ive done one.
Remember DYNAMAT!!!! Even if its only a little bit!!! :)

yeah thats fine, i took the door panel off before to check connections etc. I dont think i will need to do a fitting panel though they look they will fit straight in the hole thats there, just a bit of chopping and soldering to do then.

U may need an MDF ring or something depending on depth of new speakers but obviously dont know without seeing them.
Yeah just cut off original plug, crimp connector or solder on wires to new speaker.

Tbh i think i remember it being a 5" which is very strange for a ford. Most are 6.5" or 5x7's
