Which is faster

Im on the lookout for a clio 16v, cause i think they look absolutely stunning, and they are fast little cars, my mate at work is planning on getting an 8v calibra, i told him what i was getting and he laughed and said he would paste me!!!

Is this true??? if so what could i do to the clio to make it quicker??? other than an engine transplant.

PS. i cant wait to get a clio valver and be a proper member of here, really looking forward to suprising people on the road :D

get the valver and ignore him, calibras are boring old mens cars and they dont handle. As for the quickest im not 100% certain but there certainly wont be much in it, even if its quicker in a straight line (i doubt it) then you will have him on the twisty bits

Even a 2.0 16v Calibra would have trouble as the Clio is lighter and more agile.

16v Clio 137bhp/102.kw

Clio 16v stats:

Power-to-weight: 140bhp per ton.

0-60: 7.7 (official), 7.4 (Autocar, 1991)

30-70: 7.1

50-70 (in 5th): 8.9

Top speed: 130mph.

Doesnt sound like its going to lose to a 115bhp Calibra to me!

LMAO! Is he serious in thinking a calibra will paste a valver. The only calibra capable of this would be the 4x4 Turbo!
