which is lighter





is a 15" steel wheel lighter or heaver than a 15" alloy as tempted swapin my steel spare with an alloy but dont want to add weight. cheers dave
 


alloy is lighter....

but as to what you are asking i.e. weight saving, dump the spare and get a can of tyre foam spray!

Only down side is ass end of the car looks to hi up in the air and car does not fele as sure footed on the road and at the rear .

Thats what I was about to say, there will be hardly any difference, let alone one you can actally tell.

It might raise about a mm or two and approx 15kg will make less than 1% difference to the front:rear weight distribution!
 


If you are bothered about weight dump the spare.

A wheel alone wont make your car raise that much, i stipped EVERYTHING put of teh back of mine, carpet, all trim seats etc, and its about 12mm or so higher up now
