Which one

  2005 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro

I think the Dynamique comes with more goodies...or is it the other way round.

Best bet would be to get to a dealer and pick up some pamphlets

  Mk2 Golf GTI

Dynamique - Alloys, electric windows, fog lamps, rain sensing wipers, auto headlights, slightly different suspension, spoiler some other stuff i cant think of!

The 1.2 Authentique was an 8v i think, but they may also do a 16v version.

Dynamique is a better buy id say, what litre are you going for?

  BMW e46 320 Ci Sport

my dynamique doesnt have rain senstive wipers or auto headlights....also m door cards dont match my seats

one of my mates has a dynamique, one has authentique

dynamique is better, alloys, full leccy, cd player, rear head rests... etc

get the dynamique

  Mk2 Golf GTI

new dynamiques have all that mate, what year is yours? Try something....

Turn your ignition to the second position but dont start the engine, Turn your dipped beam on and off twice in succession. You may hear a beep. If you do, start the engine and see if the lights come on when the stalk is still in the off position.

The automatic headlights and wipers are linked to the same sensor, the one in the back of the rear view mirror. The above process turns them on/off.

How old are you mugen power? i was in the dealers the other day and i saw another free insurance deal but i didnt take much notice as to what age it was for.

  C4 Grand Picasso

I have an Authentique, my mate has a Dynamique.

What his has that mine hasnt:

Separate display for the radio - with temp gage,
Trip computer,
16v engine (mines 8v),
Rear headrests,
Sun roof,
Auto wipers,
Auto headlights,
15 inch Alloys,
Painted wing mirrors,
Spoiler,
Bucket seats,
CD Player,
Silver dash inserts,
Fog lamps,
Leather steering wheel,
Tray under passenger seat,
Free insurance.

If I could go back a year (to when I got mine) then I would pay the bit extra to get a Dynamique.

Mike.

well i tried it and a load of other combinations and no result?! no beep nothing. bit weird aint it

  CRX 16v, Golf SE

Spirez, am 17, yep...just a baby lol, nah I think i probably will get paps to buy the Dynamique...the insurance is probably 21+ as per usual

The insurance is for 19+ I think but you could always put someone else down as the main driver and yourself down as a second driver. Renault insurance used to let you have 2 extra people on the policy and they said my brother would be allowed to be added to the policy as a learner at 17. (I didnt let him drive it)

Dynamic is better but if you intend to mod the car then youll change most of the different bits anyway.

  Polo + Micra

david have you got the sensor cos knowing reno its probs f**ked

my dynamique has also got an alarm ( i think)

  BMW e46 320 Ci Sport

u c thats another thing i dont have i dont have the standard alarm! i have immob but no alarm, had to stick a clifford on there. also my doors dont lock automatically after a certain period of time when driving which ive heard happens on most dynamiques....v v strange. wheres this sensor then?

  Polo + Micra

its above the rear view mirror on the inside

i dont think it is supposed to have an alarm

  Megane 225

Dynos dont have an alarm as standard, just the immob.

David, hold the lock button in for about 5-10 seconds, that should set the doors to lock automatically when you go above 6mph.

  CRX 16v, Golf SE

thanks for RUINING my thread...lol..so the Dynamique seems the better choice...Ill probably just keep it for a year then move on and up(just like I do with my men..ahem>..) you think Dynamqiues are good first cars/?

  Mk2 Golf GTI

Ye definitely, might only be a 1.2 but they are nippy for what they are and consumption is good on them. I wouldnt complain if i was getting it bought for me!

Dynamique all the way, dont think it can be *mugen* tuned though;)

  CRX 16v, Golf SE

lol, yeah 65bhp for a wee 1.2 dynamique...or it might be the Polo...not sure yet...polo would be 1.3...

lol, yeah shame I cant tune it by mugen eh? lol...thats for the future...when i get s2000...lol...

xx

  Megane 225

Oh, the interior is much much better than the Authentique - another plus.

The Dyno is top stuff from Reno imo, best spec car in its class.

  Polo + Micra

i think the 1.2 16v is 75 BHP

if my car has got an alarm would it have a thatcham rating???

  CRX 16v, Golf SE

really!? Top gear and their false info again...right thats it, Im changing to Evo...gong to cancel this subscription...godamn

Go for the cheaper one, I was looking at them the other day and for the price difference you could get alloys, bucket seats and a full bodykit inc fitting and spraying. And you have the bonus of less tat to go wrong and cost you a fortune!!!

All the range have power stearing the 172 etc have an hydrolic ystem though.

The Sporty, dynamic etc models have a slightly different rack I think.

  Megane 225

^^^ agrees

Its not an elec sunroof tho MP. I went for an elec because of the probs I read about with the manual one. I originally asked for no sunroof but they couldnt do it.

  clio 172 ph2 02 reg

to the guy who says his dynamique is missing the wipers, light sensors, RAID etc , are you sure its a dynamique , i know its a daft question but are you sure.

My wife had a 2001 dynamique and that didnt have auto wipers or lights, must have added them whrn they revised the range in 2002.

damn goog little car though, well nippy for a 1.2 and handled great. Also (strangely) the ony car, with the exception of a new MINI (also strangely) weve owned that never had a single fault or repair under warranty all the time we owned it!
