Which sub plz!

Hi, im goin to be getin a Class D Alpine MRD-M500 mono block amp. I need a 12" sub to complement this amp. It must be in the range £150-£200. I was thinking the JL 12W3 or the Alpine Type-R. Does anyone have any opionons on this?! Will the amp blow the type-r because its like 1x500Wrms i think. cheers!!

i have an alpine type S which i recommend but the type Rs are sposed to be better so i would say go for one they are brilliant subs

thing is i had one many a years ago, and i managed to blow it, this could be due to my inabilities to wire up the sub properly, but i might go for an all alpine install...

Ive got the type-r 12" its phat have about 350rms going through it and it can handle more! If you can afford that go for it!

well my amp will be kickin out about 500W rms, and the type-r can only handle 300W rms according to the site.

i think i will settle for a Rockford Fosgate 2112 with 500W rms and 1000W max. bit more expensive than the type-r but it can probably handle the amp more.

any more ideas peeps?
