Which TV's Are The Best??

I'm in the market for a proper decent 55/65 inch tv.

I want the best picture quality but I don't understand the difference between 4K, OLED, HDR?? f**k knows.

Is there a way to future proof my purchase?

Any advice and links to TVs would be great.

I DO NOT WANT A CURVED ONE.

From what I understand OLED means the screen is kind of like a mobile phone and costs a sh*tload of cash.

The TV I bought fitted my brief perfectly. I can't comment on any of the inbuilt functions or connectivity because from the moment I hung it on my wall all I've done is fed it with output from my Sky Q 4K box...and it deals with that flawlessly.

The picture detail of movies and sports in 4K is astonishing.

Its pretty much the best 65" TV for 2k.

Makesure whatever you get is HDR and 10bit panel.

Cheers mate. I've not done too much research into it but TV's at the moment seem to be full of confusing names. I just want to get through the marketing s**t and look at just physical details.

I was just looking at the Samsung 9500, which looks like a decent TV.

My current TV is Samsung and has been brilliant. Will be keeping it for our other room.

I stuck with Samsung after my D8000 and went for the KS9000.
It really is very good but it has a slight curve on it, so maybe not for you.

I'm pretty sure I have the 8000 now.

How does your new 4K compare to your older HD one?

Samsung tv's are very good, much better than the Sony i had previously.

Get him in to do a super duper install in the new crib.

Samsung stuff has been a decent buy for a long time.
I assume you have decent internet at home, as most of the higher quality content is streamed these days.
4K BluRay is available, but obviously not exactly cheap when you're buying one film at a time.

Pretty much what you said completely agree.

Theres the KS9000 but probably not worth the jump in price feature wise.

New 2017 tv range should be out next month

How does your new 4K compare to your older HD one?

I've only watched a couple of things but its really very good.
Blu-ray seems better too. Not there is anything wrong with the picture on the D8000!
