Which tyres?

I have 15" standard clio alloys and need new tyres. I will be lowering my car soon and wondererd whether to get 195/55/15 or 195/50/15...with the lower profile will it look like there is a bigger gap or is it just down to preferance??
OR ive been told that clios generally perform better on 16" alloys..should i invest in some16 clio alloys?

i have 15's on my 182 and handles fine. go for 195/50/15 as they are much cheaper!
