Who makes the best speakers

Ive taken the dash off and had a look at the stock tweeteres and decided, that its too much work to replace them.

So, im gunna get some mid-ranges for the front doors and some coaxials for the back. Who make sthe best 13 cm mid ranges and coaxials? I also currently have a Kenwood HEad Unit, but will replace that once ive done the speakers.

This is open to debate, best bet is to go to a retailer and have a listen to them all

otherwise people will continue to recommend the speakers they have in their cars

obviously the market leaders are companies such as focal, genesis & MB quart, but only you can decide what you want

yeah, i get what you mean, its just that at a showroom like halfords theres so mny things that can interfear with trying to listen to a set of speakers.

I was hoving to get some opinions, and if speakers have worked well in other clios then at least im getting a sorta "tried and tested" review.

try an independant specialist, most will try and sell you a product that they are authorised dealers for

yeah like bambam said, tis a hard question...! but i would say from experience, i think focal, mb quart, infinity & PG sound good in 106s n clios! focal tend to have bright tweeters tho! so if you dont like treble then dont get em!

Well Ive heard only good things about JBL and Infinity, so.. Infinity in the front JBL back?

quality of JBL is still open to debate, top end of the range is quite decent, bottom end is absolute sh*te

it aint exactly hard work to replace the tweeters, just take a day off work. its quite easy.

hmm, am I missing something then... I took the dash off, uncliped the tweetwrs, took out the wires, but then couldnt get the tweeter out of the surround that clips in the dash mounting.

bugger, now ill have to take the whole dash apart again.

What size tweeters will fit in there? Just so i dont order the wrong size, plus, i wont be able to pput the crossovers in anywhere.. will i?

Okay, ive decided to go for Infinity speakers, but im still unsure about if i need the crossovers or if i can just replace the speakers straight swap... and do tweeters come as a standard size?

focal are good, just favour the high notes more than most

IMHO MB Quart are some of the best you can buy,

though the Phoenix Gold Ti Elite are the best aounding speaker i have ever heard, though they are fooking expensive

also to be considered are crystal - fairly new on the market, yet producing very competitive speakers

I would say the best speakers are Cdt audio but I am biased.
