I think they looked into buying a new shell and rebuilding it.

Since a new shell isnt that bad priced at somehting like £1.5k I think if theres not much else wrong with it it would make an excellent cheap Williams.

equally it could have been bubbling away beneath the paint like most mk1 clios do on the rear arches and the paint getting scuffed off just exposed an already rotten arch.

I dont thinks its rust on that rear pannel, just look at it, looks like scrape marks.. Also wont be rebuilt seeing as it has no interior.
