who's ordered a 200?

i know there's a few treads abouts buying them, i just wonderd what dates poeple have been given, ordered mine last week and renault are saying 10th November because the factory is shut for a holiday but should move closer when they start up production.
anyone else been told this?

the factory is closed for the whole of August.

the way Renault are at the moment, i wouldnt be surprised if its later than your date so dont get your hopes up of a early arrival

TBF all car plants close for a summer shutdown. It's perfectly normal, and realistically shouldn't have much impact on overall supply. Certianly not unforeseen. Just the dealer having some chit-chat IMO.

EDIT: They don't actually close. They just stop producing so that massive works can be undertaken. I imagine this year there will be lots of changes for the new megane 250.

Ahh TBH I do remember reading that, now you mention it. It makes no odds. All plants are the same. Mass produced numbers. There won't be any surprises that result in production delays. If anything, the opposite is likely

Where the Megane is put together, will have zero impact on its quality. It will be s**t like all Renaults

Told originally the first week of october but was told it might be back end of september now but i need a real date so i can get insurance covered!

Waiting is so hard, but im going on holiday start of next month so hopefully it should go a bit quicker!

Paid slightly more for mine than maybe i should have but did have one of the first ones on the road and i needed a car there and then Paid £16.5k. Waited 2 weeks in total as i scrapped my old car on the scrappage scheme and hadnt owned it for a whole year so had to wait 2 weeks.

Just to help you guys with your waits i will do some picture whoring.

Wicked car, you guys are gonna love them. Engine starts to free up at 2k.

Pretty sure you only have to declare non factory fit extras to insurance anyway - they assume (wrongly sometimes) that factories wont make an ar$e of it .

g/w clio sport with cup chasis black speedlines and yellow inserts. I didnt likw the recaros as i have the car for everyday use.

Also yes you have to declare, i dont care what people say if u dont declare them then u may as well not have insurance. Even confused.com says tht u must tell them about extras, i know cos i sent them a mail.

With elephant i got insurance on it for £890 with my bro and someone else on there, they are around 30. Thats with everything declared. I also called renault to see what they said regarding telling them, they said the cup chasis isnt a mod but you must tell them as they can ask renault exacty what your spec was...
