It's the other end to that bit you found the other day. Part of the carbon canister I think

Its not great but it’s running from my rocker cover under the inlet manifold to the back of my drivers headlight and it’s just covered in electrical tape .

Yeah that will be to what was the carbon canister. Hard plastic pipe is it?

You can remove it from the inlet and fit a silicone blanking plug.

Might be different on the 172 i think, but my 182 i used an 8mm.

15mm on the 172! Bought one now.
