Why is this worth so much?

Am I missing something here? I sold mine more than 5 years ago for £2.5k (needed belts doing) and it has similar miles on it and only 2 owners. I noted they say 'jacking kit' as though its something extra. Maybe they just have no idea. I mean, it's not a Trophy or a Williams, is it?

I have spent over 3,500 grand on mine since I had it but we all know this doesn’t mean it will sell for 7k yes will make it stand out and be great for selling but 🤷‍♀️

Thing that confused me with this advert was it starts by saying it has been maintained thoroughly from new with great history...... but then at 51K miles its had a £3500 overhaul???

I cannot think why one of these would need that amount of work carried out if it has only done 51000 cared for miles

I engaged the seller, as i'm in the market for a clean RB.

There isn't much movement on the price. So I didn't chase it any further.

As said, very much on the high side but someone might come along and take it.

To be fair it is a very clean car and it does look good from the outside with having the original splitter, washer blanks and strips but like its been said its over priced and into Trophy money.

I laugh to myself at people spending £££ on tax, petrol, storage, services, MOTs and then try to get all the money back, Its the joy of running costs and general maintenance of motoring.

10+ years and a folder worth £15k in invoices through me buying parts, general service's, tax , Insurance & MOTs so my car must be worth £22k

Looking at the quality and layout of the add, I am guessing that this is a private 'trader' that has bought the car due to its mileage. Then as gone to some effort and expense (£3500 apparently) to make it mint.

Fair play it does look very nice but only time will tell if they will get what they are after, I am guessing they might struggle.

It's always the same, list down a ton of money spent, always by the previous owner as they've only had it a short while.

I have spent over 4K on mine myself and have every invoice filed with work done by specialist and receipts in order. If they are asking this type of money this is the minimum you would want to see as a buyer

182 Cup didn’t come with an engine cover. Maybe you’re thinking of a standard 182 with Cup pack?

It also didn’t come with items like the RenaultSport door sills, because #lightweight 😂

Although it wasn’t anywhere near the level of the 172 Cup weight shedding, it was lighter than the standard 182 model

I cant see any car selling for top dollar right now nor would I consider selling one currently given the financial situation. My 172 is probably currently worth the same as the change I found down the side of the footwell carpet - 32p

That is whats most laughable, no-one is going to be selling these stupidly over-priced cars the way things are going.

The same cars will probably end up on eBay, either get sold or the guy loses his house.

Exactly, even if things get desperate theres no point me even contemplating selling my car or bike right now, be better off holding out until things improve and sell for half sensible money then.
I'll only be buying them back in the future anyway
