Why didnt the Cup come with these??? Its not as if they are heavy lol??? Does anyone know? And also would a pair fit onto my cup hassle free?

cost cutting exercise on renaults part i expect. yes you can retrofit them technically you should fit headlamp wash too for them to be legal but i wouldnt bother personally, kits are about 300/500 quid on the net. i think ring and phillips etc make them and comes with the bulbs and starter pack/control units plus adaptors to fit into the headlamps

lol, do u reckon they will fit the cup easy? Or will there be some shoddy french wireing that wont let me?

xenons wont affect the wiring on the car they take a feed then the ignition/control packs are like a transformer stepping the power up from the harness to the bulb so its between the bulb and the pack that sees the big wattage. on start up they draw more current but when running they actually draw less than standard lamps

NO wots the point!. Do you need them?? wot for?? I hate it when people are following me with them on and they just happen to catch your mirror the wrong way. Specially mercedes ones. Get something more useful and practical for a few extra quid......... A turbo?

turbo will set you back a fait bit more than xenons. after having driven down sh*tty unlit country lanes with xenons and having borrowed cars without to do the same journey im never buying another car without them again, the difference in visibility is massive.

Transplanting them not easy you need

The light unit + bulbs

The height ajuster.

The rear axle height sensor

Washer bottle thingie as water needs to be supplied to the jet.

The jets themselves.

The find some way of adding them to the UCH unless you wire them from the battery.

Then you need the electronic box which gives the electric charge to start them of.

There well worth it IMO I wish sometimes Id payed for them even if they were £400 or so.

I have them on my 182 and its the first car i have had them on i drive to work in the dark and home again in the dark due to the hours i work.........

and i would always go for them on a new car i took my mums car to work the other day she has a nissan micra and i noticed the difference stright away i was having to use the main beam to make up fot the fact that the headlights were so dim........

if i were you id try to get them fitted you wont look back mate as for the requirements with Law well go into a police station and as to speak to a traffic cop to clear up any uneasy feelings you might have about fitting them....... failing that call into a local MOT station im sure they would be happy to help........

Xenons are cool for the following reasons:

It annoys TT owners that lesser cars like Clios have them.

At night people get out of your way cos they think your a Merc.

It impresses your mates when they come on with that click and then settle into their proper colour.

  Audi TT Stronic

hah, IIRC to buy all the bits from renault to retro fit it will cost you from £1500-2000 ...

Pitty its £120 a bulb though lol !
