ive had my timing belt done on my 1.2 8v, but if the aux belt snaps how does that affect the timing, i was sure it dosent until now.
all it runs is the pumps, alternator etc.
It's an f4r engine...
does that mean im safe with mine snapping on my tiny tiny engine
Well no, it's never a good thing having a belt snap, but if the aux belt snaps on the f4r they're particularly prone to wrapping round the cam belt. Hence the bent valves and knackered engine.
On the 8v it shouldn't affect anything
Is it just me or can I only count 15 valves there
every 36k, not sure on price as i had mine done same time as cambelt.how many miles it need to be dun at n how much it cost?
4th in from the left is snapped :rasp:
